Soothing Stress with Nutrition
Stress changes how your body functions. Your digestion, immune system, reproductive system and even how your brain works all get affected. Without actively resetting your body, long term stress can contribute not just to poor mental health, but also to chronic illness. Stress resilience is the art of regularly bouncing back from stress, and nutrition can play a major role.

Learn how to use specific foods, nutrients and ways of eating to help shift things back. Helping you to calm your nervous system, nourish your adrenals, and stay focussed, calm and healthy.

This 2 hour online workshop via Zoom is interactive, so there will be activities for you to engage in and opportunities for you to ask questions along the way.

Food and Your Immune System
Your immune system is complex and fascinating – and relies on a whole range of nutrients to keep active and function well.

Learn which foods and nutrients support your protective skin and mucous membranes, your lymphatic system, white blood cells and antibody production. Find out how to support your body’s many layers of anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-cancer activity. Give yourself the best chance of staying healthy and strong.

This 2 hour online workshop is interactive, so there will be activities for you to engage in and opportunities for you to ask questions along the way. It’s a great standalone workshop, and also works well alongside the Soothing Stress with Nutrition workshop.

Kirsten currently runs evening nutrition courses in Brighton, and lectures in Nutrition and other subjects on a Complementary Healthcare Foundation Degree course.

Nutrition courses Brighton

Kirsten runs Nutrition courses for adults at Evolution Arts in Brighton.

Level 1 is a 6-week introduction to nutrition, exploring:

  • how food affects and benefits you
  • how you can help your body to digest and absorb nutrients
  • how you can decide which foods and eating styles are right for you.

Level 2 usually runs over 5 weeks, and delves into various themes in more detail, such as hormonal support, heart health, bone strength and joint flexibility and integrity.

On both courses there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions and share experiences, practical ideas and recipes.
